Care Instructions
How to care for your handmade ceramics
General Care
Your handmade ceramic pieces are crafted to be both beautiful and functional. With proper care, they will last for years to come.
Dishwasher Safe
All of my pieces are dishwasher safe. However, hand washing is always gentler and will help preserve the piece over time.
Microwave Safe
My ceramics are microwave safe for reheating food and beverages. Please handle with care as the ceramics can become hot when heated in the microwave.
Oven Use
Most of my pieces are oven safe but be sure to let the pieces cool slowly to avoid thermal shock.
- Do not pour boiling water into a cold mug
- Do not place a hot piece directly on a cold surface
- Allow pieces to come to room temperature before exposing to heat
Cleaning Tips
- For stubborn stains, soak in warm water with baking soda
- Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the glaze
- A soft sponge or cloth works best
If Damage Occurs
Ceramic chips and cracks can have sharp edges. If a piece becomes damaged:
- Inspect carefully before continued use
- Pieces with cracks should be retired from food use
- Damaged items can still be used as decorative pieces or planters
